Know your 4 main labels yet?
1. "Recyclable" -
The coloured/opaque recycling symbol, means that this piece of packaging can be placed in the recycling bin as it is. Each piece of packaging with this label has to be placed separately in the recycling bin.
2. "Conditionally Recyclable" -
The clear/ transparent recycling symbol means that you must follow the instructions to recycle this packaging component. If you don't follow the instructions it has to go in the rubbish bin, as it will otherwise not be recycled and cause contamination to the recycling stream.
3. "Not Recyclable" -
The bin symbol, means that this piece of packaging is not recyclable and you must place it in the rubbish bin. DO NOT place it in the recycling bin. It will not get recycled and it will contaminate the recycling stream.
4. "Check Locally" -
The geotag symbol means that this item may be recyclable at kerbside or other locations recognised as alternative destinations. Use the interactive local recycling tool on arl.org.au to check recyclability options in your area. If there are no local options available, you will be prompted to place the item in the general waste bin.
Did you know that the Australasian Recycling Label (ARL) is a reliable system designed for Australia and New Zealand? It simplifies recycling information, saving you time and reducing landfill waste. The "Check It! Before You Chuck It" campaign urges everyone to always consult the ARL when throwing away packaging. By adhering to the ARL guidelines, you ensure proper disposal of food packaging, bottles, and containers, facilitating their recovery for reuse in future products. Watch the animation in the link given below – you'll likely find yourself humming the catchy jingle next time you're near a bin hehe!

Solar-Powered Ingenuity:
Our journey towards eco-friendliness begins right at our workshop, where we harness the power of the sun to fuel our operations. By relying on solar energy and timing our production hours at peak power, we significantly reduce our carbon footprint during production.
Mindful Material Choices:
We take immense care in selecting materials for our bows, particularly the core component, vinyl. Our Vinyl supply is mostly all, at minimum, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class I certified. This certification means that the vinyl product has been independently lab-tested and is Phthalate and Lead-Free, ensuring safety for applications on children’s products. Most are also VEGANOK certified, upholding the first and overarching standard for Ethical Vegan products created in Italy (the Vinyls’ supply origin). Even our packaging is consciously designed with the environment in mind.
Innovating for a Greener Tomorrow...
Addressing Challenges Head-On...
Craft vinyl, a widely used material, poses unique challenges due to limited eco-friendly alternatives. However, our approach remains unwavering—to minimize waste and reduce our contribution to landfills. Every step we take reaffirms our promise to protect our planet. As a testament to this commitment we're excited to introduce our upcoming 'Bow Recycling Bin' initiative (stay tuned!). We're working closely with cheer gym owners to provide 'reloved bins' complete with our logo. These bins come equipped with a QR code that links to a form, allowing you to share your bow's story and connection to positive moments. We're turning used bows into cherished keepsakes, all while reducing waste and fostering community.
